Warm the pillow 3-5 minutes in your microwave (the length of time will vary with level of power of your microwave). Increase the time in 30 second intervals to test your microwave. When re-warming the pillow as it begins to cool, only microwave at 30 second intervals. This will keep your Pillow  wonderfully fragrant for hundreds of warming. The warmth will last approximately 45-60 minutes. All Mother Earth Pillows include an instruction card and suggestions for a variety of uses.

Chill in the freezer (enclosed in plastic bag) for cold application for new injuries or swelling. Flax is perfect as a comfortable cold compress for painful areas.

Use the Shoulder Trigger point Pillow in numerous ways to relieve neck pain while sleeping, shoulder pain from rotator cuff injuries, pulled muscles in ribs, shoulder, tension over chest, fold in half and use as a lumbar counter-pressure support, or sit upon it and rock side-to-side to relieve tightened and tense glut and hamstring muscles. Do not allow the pillow to 'hang' around the neck or be a 'necktie-type' pillow as this may be counterproductive to relieving pain. The Shoulder Trigger point Pillow has 'pockets' on the inside for holding our special herbal Inserts if you wish to 'refresh the herbal aromatherapy. You can also use your own home-grown dried herbs in a muslin bag tucked inside the removable washable cover.
